Functionality
thermofin® condensers and gas coolers can be equipped as an option with AdiabaticPads. This type of adiabatic pre-cooling allows return and condensation temperatures below the ambient temperature or a considerably higher unit performance with the same space requirements and an improved system efficiency.
thermofin® adiabatic management (TAM):
The thermofin® adiabatic management enables a water-saving operation by individually adapting the wetting water quantity via a regulation valve. The required water quantity is calculated and regulated with the TCS (thermofin® control system) by measuring of the ambient temperature, the relative air humidity and the fan speed. The pressure-less operated water distribution system ensures a uniform wetting of the pads also with low water quantities. The excess water is drained through the tray construction which are installed below the stably framed AdiabaticPads and can be connected to the sewage system. As option, also the draining of the fresh water supply line can be controlled via the TCS.
